Easter Ceremonies
We thank you all for your involvement in our Easter Ceremonies. We thank especially all who participated in the ceremonies and we are very grateful to everyone who contributed in any way.
Easter is a time of joy and many blessings and we hope that that this Easter has found you fulfilled, happy and healthy.
We pray every blessing on all parishioners and especially on all children who are soon to receive the Sacraments; that you will be strengthened by God’s Holy Spirit in Confirmation, and be nourished by the gift of Christ in the Holy Eucharist.
We, the priests of the Parish, thank you very sincerely for your generous financial support in the Easter collection and for your ongoing prayerful support always.
Fr. Martin & Fr. Sean

MUSINGS
As we recall in today’s Gospel the story of Christ’s appearance to his disciples – and the absent Thomas’s disbelief when the others told him – we might also call to mind the special association that Ireland has with Thomas’s eventual proclamation of faith. In the new Missal, issued after the Second Vatican Council, provision was made for a number of memorial acclamations to be used by the whole Church. However, the Irish bishops petitioned for a special dispensation to use one extra acclamation that was traditionally dear to the Irish people: this was simply Thomas’s profession of ‘My Lord and my God!’.
