Bantry Ladies Football Club

Bantry U16 Girls will be playing Rosscarbery in the West Cork Final on Wednesday October 10th @ 7.15 pm in Aughaville. Please support.
 
 
 
 
Mealagh Valley
Mealagh Valley at the Community Hall, Ards on Friday October 12th. at 8.30P.M.. The usual bus service will run from Bantry. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
Mealagh Valley Community Centre Ltd. The Centre Directors, Officers & Committee wish to thank all who supported/arranged our Flag Day held in Bantry on Friday Sept.21st.. The amount collected was £882.60. We are making good progress with the improvements to our Community Hall & Grounds and are on schedule to open as planned on Saturday December 1st.


 
Trails Day Walks in the MealaghValley.
As part of National Trails Day, the Mealagh Valley Walks Group will be hosting a series of walks on this Sunday October 7th. There will be a range of walks with options for children, families, and more serious hikers.

Claire Heardman, Wildlife Ranger with National Parks and Wildlife Service will be leading a nature walk along the river at Mealagh Woods for families and children. The waking route will also include a new 3km loop walk through the woods which run between Coomleigh to Barnagowlanes. For the more adventurous, the will be a stiff hike through woodlands and over MullaghmeshaMountain with breathtaking views of the Corkcoastline and Kerry mountains. Bus transport to the walks will be provided, starting at the Mealagh Valley Community Hall from 11.00am. The walks will be followed by tea and sandwiches at the hall as walkers return. Events are free on the day, but we ask for donations towards the cost of refreshments etc. All funds raised will be in aid of Mealagh Valley Community Hall, which is currently being renovated with Leader funding to facilitate a range of local activities in the Mealagh Valley.

 
Pieta House, SUICIDE CRISIS CENTRE , SELF-HARM CRISIS CENTRE is holding a public meeting on Thursday October 18th , at 8.00pm in the Imperial Hotel, Cork . This is an information meeting to discuss the proposed opening of the Pieta House Service in Bishopstown, Cork .
