The seventeenth Sunday in ordinary time
Sunday july 28th 2013
Fr. Liam
Lawton is widely known for his spiritual and inspirational music, which has
touched the lives of many thousands of people across the world. In saying a
sincere thanks to Fr. Donal and Fr. Anthony, bidding them farewell and wishing
them all the best in their new appointments, I want to borrow some words from
Fr. Liam; words from a song of blessing on those whose company we have shared
and who take leave to journey on.
“As you go may your heart be strong;
As you go may you know right from wrong;
As you go and though you may grow tired
Know that I am with you, know that I am with you
Always by your side.”
Fr. Martin

Year of Faith Gougane Sunday
To Commemorate the Year of Faith
the Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to St Finbarr’s Oratory, Gougane Barra will take
place on Sunday September 29th 2013. Rosary at 2pm. Mass at 2.30pm.
The Preacher this year is Archbishop Dermot Clifford of Cashel and Emly. It
would be very appropriate for this Year of Faith if Parishes / Religious Houses
could organise parish groups to attend the ceremonies on this traditional
Gougane Sunday.
