Bantry Parish Mission

St Patrick’s Community will give our Parish Mission next week beginning on Monday March 9th through to Friday March 13th. We welcome members of the Community at all Masses in the parish next weekend March 7th/8th.
Each day of the Mission has a different theme with talks from the group, prayer, music and a lot more.

Monday night: God’s Love 7:30pm
Tuesday night: God’s Mercy 7:30pm
Wednesday night: God’s healing 7:30pm
Thursday night: God’s gift of Mary 7:30pm
Friday night: Mass of the Holy Spirit 7:30pm
This Mission is for the whole Parish – all are invited!
There is something for everyone!

Mission Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We pray that our Parish Mission may be a time of grace and renewal for all.
We ask you to bless all the families in our Parish especially those who are experiencing difficulties.
Bless the old, the young, the poor, the sick, the unemployed and those in sorrow or despair.
Help us dear Lord to grow in faith and love of you.
Amen

Seskin Montessori & Pre-school will be holding an Open Day on Thursday 12th of March 2015 from 12.30p.m. to 2p.m.   Part taking in the FREE ECCE YEAR.  All welcome.  Contact: Mary 52116.

St Colums GAA Club:
Cage crew is returning Saturday the 7th of March for all the U6 children of St Colums GAA Club.
So make sure and spread the word. Lots of fun to be had.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
 For those of you who were unable to make the registration morning on February 8th there will be another chance available to get yourself registered. It is happening on Monday, March the 9th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, in St Colums Hall. People are asked to attend this registration evening to ensure eligibily to play during the 2015 season.

Bantry Defibrillator Group will be holding a practice and demonstration session at Bantry Boys Club on Wednesday night March  4th at 8pm. Come along and learn how to do CPR, use a defibrillator and how to help someone who is choking. All are welcome.

There will be a Blood Pressure Clinic held at the Bantry Primary Care Health Centre, Maritime Hotel, Bantry on Wednesday, 4th March 2015 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  All are welcome to attend this free, confidential service being offered by the HSE and your local Public Health Nurse.  It is important for people of all ages to have their blood pressure checked on a regular basis.


 West Cork Carers Support Group Crochet Project – Bantry Group: Many Carers have expressed the wish for a project that all our Carers can contribute to. Under the guidance of our crafts facilitator , family Carers across West Cork will have an opportunity to contribute to this wonderful project to create a quilt, which will showcase the friendship and collaboration between all. On completion, this quilt will be raffled as part of our celebrations for National Carers Week in June 2015.

Cancer Research – Annual Fundraiser Appeal in the ‘Timberland’ Shop Bantry

Donated items will be accepted at the shop on Wed. Thurs. Fri. 11th, 12th, 13th March (10am-4pm). Donations very much appreciated: unwanted gifts, unused purchases, bags, Bric-a-brac, household & nursery items, arts/crafts, jewellery, bags, ornaments, pictures & paintings, glassware, china, good toys & games, exercise equipment, radios and music centres, cds, dvds etc (no clothes, books or shoes).

West Cork Carers Support Group invite all Male family Carers for a Night at The Dog Track! The trip to the Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium will take place on Saturday March 21st, transport will be provided.
First race starts 7.40pm Cost: €10 per Carer, including transport and refreshments. Booking essential by March 16th, please call 027-53848 for more information and to book.
